Dear Parents and Guardians,
Art instruction offers students far more than just drawing and painting skills. It also strengthens problem‑solving skills, builds confidence in areas other than art, and nurtures the ability to think in innovative ways. Whether your learner is in kindergarten or high school, the art room is a place where they can grow as artists and as people.
My hope is that each learner leaves art class feeling empowered to create and proud of the effort they put into their work – even if that effort sometimes leads to unexpected results. Mistakes are part of being an artist (and human!), and I want them to see these as a natural part of the learning process. Most importantly, I want them to learn to cherish creativity as something they carry with them into every subject and every stage of life.
Thank you for sharing your child with me. I look forward to a year filled with color, curiosity, and growth.
Mr. Chris
